Katrina Etc

So we can't blame the Mayor of NO because he is black and we can't blame the Governor because she is a woman. This is Ro ro's logic. Sorry ro ro once again dead wrong. The mayor fucked up BIG time and the governor fucked up even BIGGER time. NO ( that is New Orleans) is built below sea level and doesnt have a decent disaster plan. Huh? Oh wait their plan is if a flood or disaster hits "you are on your own" direct quote from the mayor. HUH? And Bush is the non caring one? People were told to evacuate AFTER Pres Bush had to CONVINCE the mayor and Governor to call for the evac. The mayor & gov made NO transportation arrangements for the people who had none. Then the brainac mayor told HIS people of NO to bring their OWN food and water for SEVERAL days. Huh? The red Cross was not allowed into the superdome under orders of the state of LA. They were not given permission. There was not enough food or water for these people because they mayor and governor had their heads up their asses. Why is this so hard to understand? I dont give a fuck what color or gender either one of them are they are both fucking morons who shouldnt be elected dog catcher. The national guard is to be deployed at the orders of the governor. Once again she fucked up big time. The Bush haters cannot see past their blind hatred that almost all the blame for the fuckups go to the mayor and governor first. Once again Bush does NOT hate black people.
Sean penn is a real fuckhead. He bring his own personal photographer when he was out "helping". First of all dumbass penn had to bail out his own boat DUH then because he is so interested in getting publicity for everything he does instead of having more room on his dingy he brought his personal photographer. What a complete meadiawhore He also claims that he didnt see any other rescue boats out there which is just a blatant lie. Sean Penn you are a douchebag and if I ever see you in public I will be more than happy to tell you so. I have seen him out in public before chugging on his booze and sucking on his ever present cigarette I am sure I will see him again and you can bet I will tell that fuckhead off.Oh yeah and I forgot brave mr penn man of the people was the ONLY one in his dinghy wearing a flak jacket.
So once again understand that the majority of the blame for this goes to Mother Nature, Mayor Nagin, Governor Blanko, quite possibly FEMA but mostly the mayor & governor. At least the majority of people get this since a CNN (!!!) poll actually stated that 13% blame Bush for this. Finally! People are understanding and grasping things. They are thinking for themsleves and not believing everything the mainstream media spoonfeeds them. Thank YOU!!!

Right dead on target! The colored mayor of New Orleans has demonstrated that the lazy power structure they developed is not working! A women as governor is a complete no brainer. Keep up the good work!

Whoa. I didn't Marco say either of those things. I read that those two INDIVIDUALS were idiots that fucked up, REGARDLESS of their race or gender, not BECAUSE of. And he's right. The lefties want to play the minority card (blacks & women) and declare them not guilty because of their status. He wasn't painting with a brush so broad to say all women and blacks are incompentent ... these two people, idiots, imcompetents, whatever you want to call them, are. Slow down, buddy, and get back on track!

Hey dude you missed the point. I am not saying a black person or a woman cant be a good leader I think there are plenty. I am saying that just because they are black and or a woman doesnt mean I am going to handle them with kid gloves. They fucked up plain and simple doesnt matter what sex or gender they are, they are fuckups. I would say the same no matter what color or gender they were.
Thank you for getting it Joyce!

i am so sick of the Bush bashing. Its not that I am a Bush lover, but come on. Lets watch him with a microscope so we can see everytime he f's up. Its ridiculous. I have never seen such hatred in all my life. Lib's say they are compassionate. Is that compassionate for all except Rep's? The ridiculous shit that comes out of their mouths sometimes makes me want to say "what the hell's wrong with you" If people would just use common sense and actually know how the gov. works they might see past their hatred and find out how to solve a problem. Oh ya and I got what you were saying about the minority. If you want equal treatment it means EQUAL not baby me because I am.

I hope you don't mind if I kinda hijack your comments section to post this (I don't blog myself, not yet, anyway!). If you don't think it's appropriate and choose to delete it, I totally understand and will not be offended at all. This is your blog, your space, and I totally respect.

That said, I just wanted to comment on the Coast Guard. There's been no real recognition to them, and they've been there before, during, and continue to be a constant presence of help and relief. I guess because there have been no complaints about them, they have been overlooked for praise.

My cousin is Captain Frank Paskewich, who is the former commanding officer of Coast Guard Marine Safety Office New Orleans. He continues his duties as Captain of the Port New Orleans in addition to his duties as Commander, Sector New Orleans. Sector New Orleans was created in ceremonies last month at the Coast Guard Group New Orleans headquarters on the lakefront. The new unit combines the personnel and duties of the Marine Safety Office New Orleans, Coast Guard Group New Orleans and Marine Safety Office Morgan City. Its area of responsibility stretches from Vermilion Parish to Gulfport, Miss., and from 200 miles offshore to the Louisiana-Arkansas border and most of western Mississippi. Needless to say, I have no doubt he has been one busy man. He's lost everything as far as their home and personal belongings, etc., and has been such a steady and hardworking presence there, as well as a frequent spokesman on the Katrina situation.

I just wanted to give some praise and recognition to him, as well as much praise and thanks to every member of the Coast Guard for all of their efforts and hard work.

By the way, Frank's wife and two kids are safe as well ... I wanted to express my gratefulness for that, too.

Again, if this isn't the forum for this, I understand. But thanks for letting me at least tell YOU. I appreciate it.

Why the hell do I go to Rosie's blog to read such bull shit. She has WAY to much anger and hatred that feeds the rest of her guppies. NONE of these fruitcakes have any grasp of what is going on. They don't care just enjoying the Hatred they are so filled with. Makes me want to jump through my comp screen and choke the shit out of them and say WAKE THE F*CK UP IDIOTS!!!!. Sorry it just really gets me when stupid hatred soils the common sense. Love your Blog by the way *S*

Anonymous= You go to ro ro site for the same reason I do the comic relief! Its a crack up how crazy she is. She is as dumb as a stump and believes anything she is spoonfed from air america etc. And the people who post there are just mind numbed lemmins who hang on her every word and march lockstep with what she says in the hope that they can somehow be her friend. It really is fucking funny!

Yourmother= Ah another lovin' liberal!! Name calling when you have no facts. Keep it up honey you just made my point perfectly!!!!

Did you read Ro's comment from her "IN THE USA" post yesterday?

I quote:

"the polls are not real
close your eyes
listen to ur heart"

Well, there you have it. Close your eyes, she says. The FACTS aren't real. Close your eyes.

Good fucking grief.

'Nuff said.

At the risk of dominating your comment section tonight, I just posted this on Ro's comments:

"How is it censorship to not air pictures of the deceased? The NAMES of deceased are NEVER aired when they are victims of crime, accidents, or in this case, natural disaster. That's not censorship; that's responsible and sensitive journalism. Imagine seeing YOUR loved one dead, splayed out and exposed for the world to see BEFORE you were even aware of their death? C'mon, people.

And Ro, your comment on "IN THE USA" really bothered me. You said :

"the polls are not real
close your eyes
listen to ur heart"

Avoid the facts? We can't, and mustn't, no matter what our political views or personal feelings. To do so is completely irresponsible.

And to those who blast out at Bennett? He always leaves a link to his blog; click it, read it, and I'm sure he'd be tickled to read your comments there.

Peace."

Hope I wasn't out of line in directing them here! Actually, I'm looking forward to some fun! LOL

Thank you for speaking the truth on Ro Ro's blog. Keep it up. Although you are right someone who is that mentally whacked is not going to get it.

I understand some of your points. But on 8.30, the morning after the greatest natural disaster of our lifetime, the mayor and governor were not doing this:

I was ashamed when I saw this photo.

Sure Rosie is a shrill, knee-jerk liberal, but you can't seriously defend the Federal Government reaction to this disaster. This is why we've been pouring billions of dollars into the Dept of Homeland Security. Nice to see what we're getting for our money. The Feds own this fiasco on so many levels. Blaming the underfunded local authorities is just a knee-jerk reaction from the right.

Now, the posters on Ro's blog are saying that the debit card fema is giving out is not enough. I am not saying it is, but it is a start.

I agree that the Feds have botched this one. But don't you think that The Government from the State of Louisiana did there fair share?. I mean when you have the Mayor and Governor who STILL can't get together on ANYTHING, major problem there. News update Micheal Brown is being let go as head of FEMA.

I also have been checking Rosie's blog daily, and I also get a good laugh. Even more pathetic is the way people kiss ass in her comments section. "Rosie we're all there, we all agree, speak for the whole country, impeach Bush, he single-handedly created Katrina to get more profit from his ownership of the entire world's oil". It's as funny as it is sad. You have a new fan here Bennett.

I used to be a fan of Rosie's show; actually defended her when people would say she was a nutcase. Her political blogs are so ludicrous that I think she should be committed somewhere...she's like a postal worker in her Bush stalking. Don't you wonder what Kelly says to "heal" her heart - must not be working lately. Love your site marco bennett - I look specifically for your comments on her blog as the hero worshippers that comstantly contribute to her dilusions of being the voice of America.

Anonymous @ 7:59 posted a link to a picture of GW playing the guitar on the day after the hurricane. I can not find a date on the picture and following the links does not provide a date of the photo. Perhaps it was NOT taken the day after the hurricane. Surely this man isn't that uncaring?

I am a Rosie Blog reader (probably a bad place to admit this). She believes in what she writes. I don't always agree with her but I enjoy reading it. I like anyone who has that much passion about the things they believe in. And here is where I think she deserves some credit: All these celebrities (Penn, Oprah, Julia Roberts) ran down to the region with cameras to get their face on TV with only one motive -- PUBLICITY. At least Rosie didn't rush down there. They don't need a bunch of useless people in the region that are there for their own purpose.

I am not a lemming, just a blog surfer. But let the insults rip...

Oh, my GOD ... silly me actually tried to post on Ro's blog last night, intelligently and respectfully. I give up. Those people truly are delusional, blind, angry, (did I mention stupid?)true Ro-bots; there IS no reasoning with them or even a remote chance of engaging in any sort of intelligent dialogue. Forgive my momentary lapse of good judgement in even trying to make an attempt. Someone slap me!!! What the HELL was I THINKING????

Joyce, I read your postings and agree that the responses on the blog were insulting. It's a shame there are people out there that feel the need to insult rather than offer an opinion. But don't group all Rosie.com readers into one place. Some of us have sound minds and bodies!

Your comment about the close ur eyes. I was under the impression that Rosie meant ignore "the polls", not the facts. Remember, polls are not facts and are often distorted. But, I digress, this is not Rosie's blog, this is Bennett's blog -- My apologies to Bennett if I've over stepped a boundry here.

Joyce= Ro ro only likes the facts when they support her whacky beliefs. Thank you for sticking up for me on her blog but really what do you expect? These are desperate people who want to kiss her ass so they get a mousepad. They somehow think if they march lockstep with herr ro ro they will be her friend. I just post my comments on her site but I dont read any of the others anymore. Hers are funny enough.

Anonymous= Uh yeah a photo on a website called talkleft uh huh I believe it. Even if it is true so what? He couldnt go down there anyhow.
Anon2= You are burying your head so far up ro ros ass if you think only the feds are to blame. It starts with the pathetic excuse for a mayor then goes to that crying bitch of a governor then to the feds. The majority of it lands at the feet of the mayor and gov.
Anon3= Couldnt agree with you more. Thanks for being a fan! Dont worry I aint going anywhere.
Anon4= Thanks!
RCINTHEOK= Cool for you.Its always good to hear 2 opinions. Its just too bad she can never speak about anything rationally. Remember how crazy she got when she tried to "debate" Sean Hannity on the view? She was beyond pathetic and had no facts just some insane ramblings.
Joyce= You are always welcome to post here. The only comment I will delete will be anonymous ones from people who ramble or curse too much.
RC= You have overstepped no boundaries, you are welcome here any time. You dont need to agree with me to post here.
